UNE ROSE VERMEILLE is a gourmand rose, exquisite, and rare.
This scent is delicious. The sparkling rose and raspberry jam are folded into a creamy base of vanilla, tonka bean and smooth sandalwood, taking us right to the brink of gourmand, but not quite crossing over. This scent goes immediately into the most lusciously delicious raspberry-rose, like the juiciest, most tender berry you could ever dream of. And yet somehow... it isn't too young, it isn't too sweet, and maybe a little edible. Or is it?
There is definitely an edible quality to Une Rose Vermeille – it conjures up marzipan and meringue and Bavarian cream – but it isn’t pure dessert due to the startling freshness of the rose and the deep purr of the sandalwood. An inedible rose gourmand then?
Une Rose Vermeille No 10 opens with a lemony, vivid raspberry note, and takes its sweet time in going through the middle, a beautiful pink rose stage, through the almondy, warm, whipped-cream of a dry down. The fragrance never gets too sweet, despite the luscious raspberry note and the vanillic dry down. Instead, it gets progressively muskier, sexier.  It's a very satisfying scent.
This rose is not just charming and delectable and adorably feminine, but a bit naughty, as well. Stunning.
