The house acquired its name after being granted the use of the royal crown by Queen Victoria as a mark of quality and excellence. In 1872 for Women – 170 roses are required to create a single drop of the precious Rose de Mai.
Effortless elegance, this classic, citrus perfume opens to a heart of Rose de Mai, which has often been associated with the presence of an angel. Rose de Mai is so rare that it blooms for just three weeks each year in May. Known as 'The Painter's Rose and still sourced in Grasse, France, to produce one pound of absolute, 10,000 pounds of rose blossoms must be handpicked before dawn.
