L`Humaniste is an aromatic-spicy fragrance by the house of Frapin introduced in 2009.
The nose is Sidonie Lancesseur from Robertet.

L`Humaniste is a modern composition orchestrated with fresh and pure aromatic notes (Gin, bergamot, juniper, nutmeg). The fable is uncomplicated, but the manner of expression is very elegant.  The spontaneity and enthusiasm with which L'Humaniste creates an easy and friendly bond with your skin are balanced with a polished structure and high quality ingredients. L'Humaniste is the youngest, but still blue-blooded member of the Frapin fragrance line.

After a short greeting of peppery citruses, the notes converge around juniper and gin accords to enhance their aromatic coolness. Gin is a perfect leader in a composition about the modern man: light and clear, it has a spirit of manliness and virility.

It opens with lemon, bergamot, cardamom, pink pepper and black pepper. A heart encompasses juniper berries, nutmeg, thyme and peony, while a base includes gin, oak moss and tonka.


L' Humaniste is the most recent fragrance by the old cognac house Frapin, famous for its cognacs and elegant fragrances. The cognac house was established in the heart of Grand Champagne in the region of Chateau de Fontpinot in 1270.

It has remained the family business for 20 generations, and today's owners are Genevieve Frapin and her husband, Max Cointreau. Their daughter Beatrice Cointreau introduced the Frapin fragrance line in 2002, with their first perfume ‘1270’ named for the year the cognac house was founded.

The latest fragrance L'Humaniste (2009) is aimed at the young and modern;  it is "created for men who embody the values of tomorrow, the modern man who embellishes from the wisdom of the past as expressed in the humanism movement of the Renaissance". /Elena Knezhevich
